Easy Taxi and Waze Collaboration: An aim for responsible Driving and Safety

People should be responsible when driving and when commuting. I don’t often ride the taxi because I’m scared for my safety. I only hail cabs that are those who are well known  and I make it a point to get the plate number and text a friend or relative and let them know where I was.

Good news for us commuters, Easy Taxi and Waze have announced a partnership aiming at facilitating mobility and responsible driving. Campaign initially started in Philippines, Singapore, and Brazil and has a common objectives of raising the awareness about the most important problems related to city transportation.

They have a  “Don’t drink and drive” campaign that  targets one of the growing social problems in the Philippines and comes just two months after the new strict law, prohibiting driving under the influence of alcohol. In addition to that, it  motivates the passengers to take a safe taxi instead of driving under risky conditions. Easy Taxi introduced a zero booking fee to accompany the campaign. The great thing about it is that Waze, which is one of the world’s largest community based traffic and navigation apps, wants to assure all users are familiar about the “Share Drive”  functionality, that allows users to send a direct message or email to inform their friends and family about the arrival and eventual lateness. Easy-Taxi drivers are verified and tracked in real time, sharing the ride with family or friends introduces additional layer of safety, which is within the best intention of both partners. In case of any potential delay noticed with Waze “Share Drive”,  worried parents or friends, can further request information from Easy Taxi about taxi location and driver details.

Waze is one of the world’s largest community-based traffic and navigation app.

Waze is the social navigation pioneer, leveraging mobile technology and a passionate global community to redefine expectations of today’s maps.
